Top 5 Popular iOS Games

Ever since Steve Jobs and his company brought the iPod, iPhone and iPad to life, there was a huge change in the world of gaming. These mobile devices created by Apple have already conquered the mobile games market.

Ever since the launch of iPhone and iPod Touch, games have represented an important part of the App Store, but now iOS games tend to become more and more sophisticate, so that Apple's gadgets are now competing with Nintendo DS lite and PSP. Every game developer wish to publish Apps in a market of billions of dollars. There have been so many amazing games available in the App Store, that it seems there are no limits in what iPhone and iPod Touch can do.

Even some of the iOS games available on the market are amazing adaptations of more complex versions for Xbox 360 and PS3, there are a lot of games specially designed for App Store.

We have made a selection of 10 of our favorite games for iPhone and iPod Touch. They are all different from each other in terms of graphics and success, but they are definitely worth being played.

Flight Control - This great iPhone game allows you to accomplish one of your greatest fantasies, as you get to direct planes and helicopters to their landing. Just as most games for mobile devices, it is a simple game to play, yet it is very hard to be the best at this. The game's purpose is avoiding accidents on the airport, but as more and more planes will be landing, it will be very tough to control the situation. This one will definitely steal hours of your precious time. If you are a busy person and have a lot of things to do, don't get this game, as it will make you lose your mind.

4th Place

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR - You get to beat Tiger Woods at this own game and you'll the chance to walk on some of the most important golf fields in the world. Each golf field comes to life thanks to the 3D graphics, dynamic cameras and real sounds. You will compete with the best golf players in the world and you'll hear Sam Torrance and Kelly Tilghman do the comments.

3rd Place

Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition - You can finally play Monopoly without ruining friendships. The dice will be rolled by shaking the iPhone and you can play with 3 virtual players. It's a great feeling playing this game when you have a bit of spare time on your way to work.

2nd Place

Fieldrunners - This is probably the best Tower Defense kind of game ever. You get to protect and control the field by using a selection of towers. This is turning into a great adventure as it gives you freedom in choosing the tactics and strategies against all enemies coming from everywhere.

Paper Toss - This game is so simple and funny just because you can relate to its scenario. You only have to throw balls of crumpled paper in the trash. It gives as much satisfaction as if you actually did that in real life. It's a very good way to spend a few minutes while being on a bus, heading to work or school.

This is not a Top 5 of iOS best sellers, but it’s a Top 5 of my favorite iPhone games. They are a wonderful way of spending time while traveling or being bored at work or at school.
