One of the most significant inconvenient when traveling abroad is the risk of facing various food related problems. In order to protect yourselves, you simply need to know the products and dishes you must avoid.

1. Respect basic hygiene rules
Remember that your stomach can not digest really well certain dishes. When traveling abroad you are facing a different culture and approach of cuisine, but you still have to respect basic hygiene rules. In order to keep things safe, you must stick to the following rules.
Never forget to wash your hands before eating and use a clean paper towel after. For maximum hygiene, keep your nails as short as possible. Choose to eat in popular restaurants and clubs, as you have better chances of receiving better services and food.
You can also use a napkin to clean the glasses you're drinking from.
2. Water and drinks
Water represents a very serious risk in many countries. That's why you always have to:
-Gently refuse any kind of water that's brought to you in a glass;
-Avoid ice cubes;
-Avoid fruit juice, as they might be prepared with water;
However, this is what you should do:
-Drink bottled water;

Avoid fresh cut fruit and vegetables from markets, as they also might have been sprinkled with non-potable water.
However, you don't have to avoid fruit and vegetables that have been boiled, or that have been cut by you. You can wash them with mineral water or you can peal fruit like bananas, mango, and apples.
